Deloris Kidwell

February 14, 1941 — December 15, 2024

It is with a weighted heart that we announce the passing of Deloris Kidwell on December 15, 2024. Deloris passed peacefully in the hospital at the lived age of 83.

Born on February 14,1941 to Victor and Emma Sauter. The eldest of two girls, Deloris spent her childhood in St. Louis MO. She enjoyed many of the simple joys a young woman would in fabulous 50's and 60's like car hops, soda shops, and drive in movies. These adventures landed her in love with Theodore Kidwell at the age of 17. Eager with excitement to start their lives, they married just two days after Deloris turned 18, and before their 1st anniversary welcomed the 1st of their 5 children. Headed west the Kidwell family laid down roots in sunny California where they spent most of 42 years of their marriage. In the early 90's with retirement looming on their minds Deloris and Theodore relocated to Nevada where both would eventually pass. Not before leaving a vast family.

Deloris is preceded in death by her mother Emma, Father Victor, husband Theordore and son Kenneth. She is survived by her younger sister Emily of Wisconsin, her eldest son Kimbal, eldest daughter Cynthia and her husband, youngest son Theodore Jr., youngest daughter Karen, 11 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.

In life few people can leave an impact or pass down knowledge and memories like Deloris was able to do. Every member of her family has stories to fill in that small but mighty dash between 2/14/41 - 12/15/24. These memories are what we remember today in the loss of a matriarch. These will be the source of our tears, both happy and sad as we reflect on a life well lived.
